Abstract:The evolution of postmodernity of contemporary Chinese movies is the hot topic in the critic circle. This paper analyzes the rewriting and misconception of postmodernity on traditional aesthetic consciousness of contemporary Chinese movies from the perspective of culture, and illustrates that the appearance of contemporary Chinese movies with postmodern factors is a natural phenomenon of culture and art fault in the transitional society. Owing to the diversification, experimentation, individuali-zation and rebelliousness of contemporary Chinese movies, the marginality of their activity location is a vital ending.
