Culture is always associated with historical stage and specific economic patterns.Based on the interpretation of cultural consciousness, this paper explains the social and historical drive of Pre-Qin cultural consciousness from the perspective of Pre-Qin social productive forces and the relations of production, the change of Heaven and the collapse of Courtesy and Music culture etc.Chaotic social reality forced people to form rational knowledge for the essence of universe.The “philosophy breakthrough” emerged among social intellectuals in pre-Qin period.Therefore, Chinese ancient social thoughts also started the “secular” process.
