Abstract:As one of the important groups in rural revitalization, women not only share the fruits of development, but also play an important role as contributors. Based on the analysis framework of “individual-organization-environment”, through in-depth exploration of the women’s development project of “School for the Prosperity of Left-behind Women”, the research finds that holistic empowerment puts emphasis on the “problems and needs” of the individuals, placing them in the social ecological environment, focusing on their long-term development, and paying attention to their family, community and society. By improving their economic status, it enhances their capacity for action, fosters self-organization to strengthen mutually beneficial partnerships, and creates an external development environment to shape the empowerment pattern. It clarifies the corresponding relationship between the empowerment object, the empowerment goal and the empowerment process, aiming to achieve the goal of empowering women through mutual assistance. In the overall process of rural revitalization, the situation of weakening power, marginalized status and inert mindset of the group should be changed through empowerment, so as to explore innovative and effective development paths.
