The traditional operas of Shandong Liuzi drama added a lot of touching images of women to the modern and contemporary Chinese literature and art galleries，and some images of women had even never been seen before in the history of Chinese literature and art.Compared with traditional Chinese literature and art historians’ view that the Chinese women’s modern consciousness and feminist consciousness began to awaken in the May Fourth Movement,the view of this article is rather different:women in the earlierformed Liuzi drama already revealed feminine consciousness because of their struggle for living space and their gender awareness.Therefore,Liuzi drama became a special case of traditional Chinese operas standing at the forefront of modern transformation of Chinese literature and art.
