Abstract:Public security education, carried out in Chinese universities, tends to focus on protecting college students’ personal safety, which can be called narrow security concept. According to the outstanding problems existing in public security education today, we need to turn to broad security concept, which puts emphasis on the students’ responsibility of social security, to optimize the aim, content and multi-agents’ responsibilities of college students’ public security education. This is the advanced experience that we can learn from the western countries to realize the institutionalization, standardization and high efficiency of public security education.
