It has been one of the important aims of the Wuhan “1+8” Metropolitan Area (WMA) to realize urban-rural harmonious development.However,the rural economy far lags behind the urban economy now.This thesis is oriented by normative analysis and examines the rural financial situation in WMA from the aspects of principals involved in rural financial deepening,i.e.the government,the financial institutions,the peasants and enterprises,non-financial intermediaries,education and research institutions.Then it explored the countermeasures of financial deepening to improve the development of WMA’s rural economy.The detailed advices are as follows:for one thing,it is about how to improve the auxiliary system of rural financial deepening,which includes enhancing cooperation among governments in different cities within WMA and sharing supportive resources between rural and urban areas on the industrial-chains.For another thing,it is about how to improve and innovate the rural financial goods and services,including enriching the variety of the rural financial services,developing the client of peasant workers,promoting the relationship financing to reduce the information restriction and expanding the business scope of Agricultural Development Bank of China.
