Based on the panel data from 1 772 counties (cities) from 2006 to 2009,this paper analyzes and compares the income effect of China’s rural financial development.The result shows that from the perspective of the whole nation,the development of China’s rural finance has a significant negative effect on farmers’ income.From the perspective of different regions,rural financial development in the eastern,central and western regions has a negative relationship with household income,while the effect of rural financial development on the income in the eastern,central and western regions is successively decreasing.The above conclusions verify the positive effect on relations between the financial development and economic growth owing to the imbalance of structure and function during China’s financial development,which does not exist in the rural areas.Therefore,this paper makes several such policy recommendations as strengthening the intracounty rural financial reform and guiding rational allocation of funds in different rural areas so as to achieve the common growth on household income.
