Yue Ji has been deeply influenced by Zhou Yi.This paper intends to analyze and comment on this issue by means of literature description.It holds that Yue Ji inherits ideas from Zhou Yi,including the harmony among musical principles,the law of nature and cosmos,the dialectical unity of the opposites,and worshipping simplicity and virtues.Also,Yue Ji adopts diction and paragraphs from Zhou Yi.Yue Ji reconstructs law of nature and cosmos into principles of society and human relations.Therefore,Yue Ji has held a very important position in the history of musical aesthetics in China.
