The spirit of Lei Feng is the highlights of socialist value orientation and the important part of socialist culture with Chinese characteristics. To study and advocate the spirit of Lei Feng is the significant content of constructing of the socialist spiritual civilization. The realization of communism is the pursuit for Communist Party and people’s free and all-round development is the highest pursuit. The spirit of Lei Feng and people’s free and all-round development, of the similar category with internal connection, both stick to the value orientation of communism. The realization of people’s free and all-round development urges for long-term value orientation support which partially originates from the spirit of Lei Feng. For people’s free and all-round development, a long-term mechanism advocating the spirit of Lei Feng should be founded by means of enriching its connotation, integrating it into national education system, finding new paths to preach and promote it, giving full play to the exemplary role of the members of the Communist Party of China and fostering the education and guidance of youth to behave in accordance with the spirit of Lei Feng.
