Abstract:Through the case study of D village in Northern Zhejiang province,this paper tries to analyze the representation of the process of village election and the underlying mechanism in the interest intensive village under the background of high economic differentiation, and further analyzes the consequences in the village governance level so as to deepen and enrich the understanding of the rural election and governance in China from the internal visual angle of village .The high value of village power has stimulated the villagers’ will to participate in the election, and the social relations appeared as circle and hierarchy, the vertical economic stratification makes up the boost mechanism of the highly competitive village election.In the process of village competitive election, the campaigners adopt strategic mobilization methods ,such as relationship and money, to get votes on the organizational basis of factional interests. The high value of village power brings the color of profit in the village election and governance, which performances in the allocation of village resources,and that is privatization of distribution principles, causing the bottom class to use petition to fight with the rich group who is village cadre. The village organization faces crisis of legalization. For this reason, the government and political parties should carry out the intervention.
