Abstract:Regional chamber of commerce,a type of social organization with unique Chinese traits,such as the symbol of provincialism and culture,the aggregate of private enterprises,autonomy etc.,embeds into the social environment of its location and hometown for development. A case study on Hubei Chamber of Commerce in Guangdong Province reveals that its internal impetus of embedded development is to serve members and help each other so as to fill in the cracks on part of market and government. Meanwhile,this paper analyzes the conflicts and fusion of of history and culture under the two specific spacial strucutres,the special demand for economic development,the political ecology and policy design that constitutes the distinct paths of its embedded development,mainly including solving problems in time and making large-scale rapidly in its short history; the path of orgznization culture building supported by Spirit of new Hubei native,standardization and institutionalization other than reliance on provincialism; the full-service model guided by professionalism; the cooperative governance mechanism in multicentre network between political and social organizations supported by political symbol,benchmarking and attracting investment.
