Abstract:Based on CVM and the employment of Heckman two-stage model, this paper analyzes pig farmers’ willingness to pay (WTP),the level of payment and their influencing factors when provided the socialized services for waste treatment from the perspective of “beneficiary payment and third-party treatment”.The results indicate that 41.64% of the farmers are willing to pay for the services.Among the factors influencing WTP,educational level, breeding scale, distance between pig farms and farmland, breeding income, and expectations for third-party governance are significantly positively-correlated with WTP,yet breeding years and disinfection inconvenience of transport vehicles are significantly negatively-correlated with WTP.Among the factors influencing payment level, educational level, distance between pig farms and farmland, breeding income, expectations for thirdparty governance are significantly positively-correlated with the payment level. The average payment level of pig farmers is 6.47 yuan per head per year in Jilin and Liaoning after a parameter estimation.
